Universal Children's Day

Hi, kids!

In Portugal we celebrate Universal Children's Day on June 1st. This was decreed  (= foi decretado) by the United Nations Resolution 836 (IX) on 14 December 1954 that recommends that "all countries institute a Universal Children's Day, to be observed as a day of worldwide fraternity and understanding between children".

To celebrate this day with my three classes and congratulate my students on their work in our two blogs, I have a Certificate of Appreciation for you all. (Click the image for a bigger certificate.) You're doing marvellous work and are very enthusiastic! Thank you!!!

Hi, Haneen!
What a sweet message! Thank you!
I believe that a teacher's enthusiasm is transmitted to her students, and that's what happens with many of my students. Gonçalo is a great example.
BTW, we'll record the word "Parabéns" so that you can listen to the sound. And maybe some other words in Portuguese, such as "beijinhos" that your mother loves. :-)
Hugs, Teresa
